Summer Camp Registration
Thank you for your interest in Camp Gray! Here's some useful information about camp registration.
Camp Gray will begin accepting applications from returning campers, their siblings, and last year's wait list campers in mid-November. Other new campers may apply after January 1st. We cannot accept applications by phone. You may fax your application to us (608-356-5855) and the deposit and original application must be received within three days of fax to secure your registration.
Please fill out one application per camper. You can download a summer camp application from the forms page or they are found in the summer camp brochure.
We need a parent signature to process the registration. Don't forget the parent signature on both sides of the application form.
Please mail your application and $100 non-refundable deposit ($200 for two-week sessions) to the address listed at the bottom of the page. Make checks payable to Camp Gray. Only one check is needed for multiple campers or fees.
The full amount paid will be refunded if a camper cannot be placed in the session of his/her choice. The $100 deposit cannot be refunded only after registration is confirmed in a program. The balance of fees paid will be refunded if a camper cannot attend due to injury or illness. In all other instances, no refund of camp fees will be given unless notice of cancellation is given to camp at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the camper's session. If a camper leaves early due to homesickness, disciplinary reasons, or parent request, no refund will be given.
If you pay the camper fee in full by February 1st, you will receive a $15 discount per child.
Financial aid is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is based on need. If you are requesting financial assistance from Camp Gray you must complete and return the Scholarship Application form which we will send upon receipt of your application.
Check out our session chart to see what sessions are available. It is updated regularly as sessions begin to fill.
Please list a second session choice, even if you've applied early enough to get your first choice.
After your application is accepted you will receive via email or regular mail. a complete informational packet containing:
Registration receipt
Directions to Camp Gray
A letter containing important information such as a packing list, arrival/pickup times, and other helpful information to prepare your child for camp
A health history form - this year there is no longer a section to be filled out by a physician
Assumption of Risk and Responsibility form
A Household-size Income Statement for participation in the USDA summer food-service program (only for qualifying families)
After you've downloaded or received your informational packet, fill out the forms completely. Forms must be submitted to Camp Gray no later than two weeks before camp attendance.
Camp Gray will honor up to two cabin mate requests. Please indicate requests for cabin mates on the registration form. (Please note that cabin mate requests will only be honored if both campers are in the same age group and program, and independently register for the same session before it fills.)
