February/March 2006 Newsletter
Welcome
to the February/March issue of the Camp Gray e-newsletter. Up here at camp
we're busily processing camper applications, hiring staff, improving
programs, and getting ready for the summer. In this issue you will
find all the latest and greatest news from Camp Gray as well as a sampling
of the best pictures taken last summer. It includes:
Canoeing, climbing, and Capture-the-Flag. Archery, art's & crafts, and awesome counselors. S'mores, swimming, and Survivor: Camp Gray. Faith, Friends and Fun. No matter how you alliterate it, summer camp 2006 is going to be fantastic. Don't miss out! We still have many spaces available for this summer, though some sessions are filling fast. To view what sessions are still available, please view our Session Chart >> (updated daily) For those already signed up. . . In the last issue of the newsletter, you learned that an incredible 86%
of Camp Gray campers come to camp for the first time because of a personal
invitation from a family member or friend. If you know of anyone from
work, church, school, or elsewhere who would benefit from a Camp Gray
experience, please tell them about us. You are the reason that Camp Gray
is filled each summer. Thank you! (You can always break the ice with a
E-postcard from Camp Gray. Go to
Camp Gray E-postcards >>)

Are looking for a fun, engaging, and meaningful way to spend your spring break this year? Are you a high school junior or senior? If you answered yes to both these questions, Camp Gray has the solution for you. Camp is offering it's second year of alternative spring break service trips. Led by camp's year-round volunteers, these trips offer a great opportunity to meet new people, have fun, and, most importantly, serve those in need. We are offering two trips this spring. One will be heading to Tennessee to work on constructing the Cumberland Gap Trail and the other will be heading to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area to participate in a number of different service opportunities in the cities. Each trip runs from Saturday, March 25th through Saturday, April 1st. If you are interested in learning more, please email Kelly at kelly@campgray.com. We hope to see you there.
Camp Gray's Catholic Herald Article If you didn't get the February, 2nd issue of the Catholic Herald, you missed out on an article about Camp Gray. Not to worry though, you can read it right here. Catholic Herald Article >> And Finally. . . Camp Gray Skiing. January was a cruel month for those who enjoy cross country skiing. After being spoiled by all the snow in December, January was a major let-down. We would still like to have a day of skiing up here at Camp Gray if the weather cooperates. Many of you have already signed up as interested, and we have saved your contact info. If you still interested in coming up to camp for a day of cross country skiing, waxing clinic, and more, please fill out the form below. We'll get in touch with you the during the week if we have enough snow on the ground or the forecast looks promising. (except for the weekend of the 25th - a few of us are skiing the Birkie!) Hold out the hope for snow! |
